She is also well-known for being a choreographer, principle dancer, and the creative director for R.Kelly’s world tour performances, music videos and award show performances.  Some of her clients include Teddy Riley, Escape and Been One to name a few.  After leading the stage in these various positions, DREA also found vast success in operating her own dance theatre companies, AKDT and Le Belle Jete’ Cabaret.

DREA Kelly, an award-winning choreographer and professionally trained dancer, has become revered for her stylized dance and movement.  She has been compared to legends such as: Bob Fosse, Katherine Dunham and Josephine Baker, in which distinct comparisons of agility and proficiency have been made.

As an actress, producer and fashion designer, DREA Kelly is taking longer strides to break into the entertainment industry.  She stared in two feature films, “Before I Do” and “Chocolate City” that has received rave reviews.  She is currently the executive producer of a Hip/Hopera and Real Life Musical, with business partner, Joel P. E. King who is the writer, director and producer of the coming-of-age story that shines light on the demise of the urban community and evokes a call to action to change the image of the Black America through self-responsibility and accountability.  DREA Kelly, too, awaits the green light on a current television project, Penthouse Sweets, in which she stars and produced.

DREA is not only a survivor of Domestic Violence, she is an advocate of domestic violence awareness.  In the spirit of this mission, she created the 12th Round Foundation, an organization that celebrates survivors of domestic violence and seeks to provide education so no one will become a victim and commemorate those who are lost to this tragedy.

DREA has shared the stage as a powerful Motivational Speaker and Life Coach at Black Women’s Expo, Circle of Sisters Expo and For Sisters Only to name a few.  She is currently working on her life changing, self-help memoir, “Under the Red Carpet”, expressing her passion for women’s empowerment and self-responsibility. Currently, DREA Kelly released a Video Memoir, where she breaks her silence on the physical, verbal, mental and financial martial abuse she experienced with her R. Kelly and has made it available for purchase exclusively on her website. Portion of the proceeds will be donated to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and other organizations. It is only the beginning of what we will see of DREA Kelly, who has quickly become a household favorite with her winning smile, dynamite personality and charm.
